The IPN Burros Blancos (3-3) will face the UNAM Pumas (3-3) in a battle which may well determine which team makes the playoffs in Mexico’s ONEFA college league Saturday.
A huge crowd of 20,000 is expected at Estadio Hidalgo stadium in Pachuca, north of Mexico City for this crucial contest.
With all their offensive weapons, the Burros Blancos look ideally placed to beat the Pumas for the first time in many years. While the Pumas defense is can move the ball, the blue and gold attack is the worst it has been in many years and that could be a major factor.
The Pumas opened the season 3-0 but have gone a three-game slide.
Although the Pumas defense can keep Burros quarterback Alejandro Garcia in check, their offense may prove to be their downfall. The last time these two teams met, the Pumas overwhelmed the Burros Blancos 30-0.
That will not be the case in this game. expect a close contest.
