The Norwegian American Football League heads into its third weekend of play with the Kristiansand Gladiators (0-2) playing host to the Vålerenga Trolls (0-2) in a battle of the two winless teams.

The Gladiators, who finished second in Norway in 2021, lost to the Eidsvoll 1814s 34-21 to open the season and then were beaten 27-0 by the Oslo Vikings a week ago. Meanwhile, Vålerenga were blanked by Oslo 34-0 to open the season and then suffered a 39-7 beatdown at the hands of Eidsvoll.

The last time these two teams faced each other was in 2021 when Kristiansand defeated the Trolls twice, 42-0 and 35-0.

Quarterback Viktor Wessberg is the key to the Kristiansand offense. He will target his three key receivers, Marlon Hýlton, Erlend Lien and Nicolas Chapman while running back Lasse Aaberg anchors a solid backfield. Swedish defensive back Damian Caban anchors the secondary along with Joshua Harrell while linebacker Mads Flåt who attended the CFL Combine, is a key in the Gladiators front seven.

The Trolls, who have had only two winning seasons in the past decade, will be in tough against an experienced Kristiansand squad.
