The defending ONEFA champion Pumas UNAM (6-1) take on the Águilas Blancas IPN (5-2) Sunday, November 11 at University Olympic Stadium in a keyONEFA (Organización Nacional Estudiantil de Futbol Americano) matchup.
This classic game pits two of the storied teams in Mexican college football. The last time these two teams faced each other in the Olympic Stadium was 2016 when the game had to be held behind closed doors. Only family members were allowed in that day due to the “boisterous” fans from both schools. The Aguilas won the game, beating the Pumas for the first time since the middle of the first decade of the 21st century, by a score of 10-6.
The game had originally been scheduled for September 3 but was postponed due to student clashes on the UNAM campus.
