The Pumas UNAM Acatlán (4-3) and Pumas UNAM CU (3-4) will square off in the final game of the Mexican college (ONEFA) regular season.

Pumas Acatlán boasts the league’s 2nd leading quarterback in yards, Johan Lopez (#16), along with two outstanding wide receivers, #1 Brando Niebla and #82 Julian Aldaz. They also have the third-best rusher in the league, Hussein Sabtillan (#35). Pumas CU might face a challenge against this potent offense, especially since they have suffered some losses in their secondary due to injuries. However, they do have one of the best linebackers in the league, #31 Diego Pareyon.

Pumas Acatlán’s defense, on the other hand, has had its struggles, often giving up a high number of points. The situation becomes a bit more complicated for Pumas CU as their star running back, Esteban Espinosa (#22), has sustained a clavicle fracture. On a positive note, their quarterback, #3 Lanny Garza, has recovered and will play today. It’s worth noting that Acatlán hasn’t defeated CU since 1987, but this game presents one of their best opportunities in years.

Both teams need to win this game to keep their playoff hopes alive.
