The Fundidores head from Monterrey to Mexico City Sunday to face the Mexicas in the first battle of unbeatens in the young Liga de Futbol Americano (LFA) season.
Last week in week one, the Fundidores with a great defensive showing dispatched the Dinos, blanking them 17-0, while the Mexicas displayed offensive power in beating the Condors 36-19.
Linebacker Christan Hernández was outstanding for the Fundidores recording five tackles.
In the win over the Condors, the Mexicas found themselves trailing 19-13 at the half. Then the offense exploded for 23 second half points for the win.
Quarterback Ricardo Quintana threw three touchdown passes one each to Guilermo Villalobos, Vladimr Araiza and Fernando Alvarez while running back Terrill Gourdine and Araiza scored rushing touchdowns.
With the season only seven games long, a win here by either team would be pivotal.
