The Legnano Frogs (4-0) will travel to Bologna to face the Bologna Warriors (1-3) as the Italian Football League heads into the sixth weekend of action.

This is the first meeting between these two teams this season. The only time these two faced each other in 2024, Legnano came away easy 48-0 winners,

Bologna were 38-0 losers to the Milano Rhinos to start the season and then lost 47-0 to the Ancona Dolphins before finally defeating the Bergamo Lions 19-14. However they were pummeled 45-6 by the Parma Panthers last weekend.

Legnano downed the Ancona Dolphins 20-14 in their season opener and then defeated the Bergamo Lions 34-7 before beating the defending champion Parma Panthers 24-21. They then beat the Milano Rhinos 35-14 a week ago.

Warriors quarterback Viktor Wessberg has thrown for 312 yards so far this season but has also been picked off three times without throwing a touchdown pass. In last week’s loss to Parma, he managed just -1 yard passing.

The Frogs are led by ex-Milano Seamen and Frankfurt Galaxy quarterback Luke Zahradka who has thrown for 1,106 yards and 11 touchdowns in the four games. His favorite targets are Dan Kittner who has 39 catches for 496 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and Niccolo Pulsinelli with 28 receptions for 394 yards and five scores.

The Warriors have given up an average of 185 yards passing and 120 yards rushing per game. This could be a long evening for Bologna.
