The Game of the Week in the Italian Football League features a battle of unbeatens as the Ancona Dolphins (1-0) play host to the defending champion Parma Panthers (1-0).
The Dolphins opened the season two weeks ago by beating the Legnano Frogs 24-3 while Parma downed the Milano Rhinos 33-26. The last time these two teams faced each other was in 2023 with the Panthers coming away with a 28-13 victory.
Quarterback Collin DiGalbo (Kutztown University) gives the Dolphins offense stability. In the win over Legnano he threw for 206 yards and two touchdowns with Bo Sanders his favorite target. Sanders (Elon University) hauled in six passes for 83 yards and both aerial touchdowns. He had double duty anchoring the Ancona secondary where he had an interception.
For Parma, quarterback Robbie Patterson (University of Montana) had a modest day in the win over Milano completing 11 of 20 passes for 212 yards and a score but he was picked off twice.
This one is a toss up. Both offenses have the potential to explode for big points.
