LIVESTREAM Italy: Ferrara Aquille @ Torino Giaguaria, March 2, 14:30 CET (2:30 pm, 8:30 am ET)

The Ferrara Aquile (0-1) are set to travel to Torino for their second game in the 2025 IFL season, where they will take on the Torino Giaguari (1-0) on Sunday, March 2 at Centro Sportivo Totta Borgaretto.

The Aquile opened the season with a close 15-12 loss to the Varese Skorpions while Torino won their opening game in dominant fashion, rolling over the Lazio Marines 48-14.

On defense, the Aquile will debut their new multi-purpose linebacker Percy King (Lenoir-Rhyne University). His versatility will be key in stopping Torino’s offensive threats.

The Ferrara defense, which showed promise in their first matchup, will need to step up even further against a high-powered Giaguari offense.

For this game the Aquile will rely on German quarterback Salieu Ceesay following an injury to starter Aaron Allen. Ceesay has played in the United States and the European League of Football (ELF) with the Hamburg Devils, brings valuable international experience to the field.

Ceesay will have wide receiver One Williams to target. Williams was outstanding in the game against the Skorpions hauling in eight passes for 200 yards and two touchdowns.

The Giaguari Torino enter this matchup full of confidence after that dominant win against the Marines. They are one of the most structured and well-established programs in Italian football, combining veteran leadership with emerging talents.

Ferrara’s defense will need to focus on stopping import player Tavlon McCarthy, a key playmaker, as well as quarterback Evan Lewandowsky (University of Wisconsin-Whitewater), who runs the Giaguari’s pass-oriented offense. McCarthy threw for 286 yards and four touchdowns against Lazio with McCarthy catching three of those passes for 73 yards and two scores. Luciano Giuliani hauled in five passes for 150 yards and a touchdown.

This will be a battle of the Aquile defense against the high-powered Torino offense.
