The Milano Rhinos (1-1) will play host to the Ancona Dolphins (1-1) Saturday, March 8 at the Velodromo Vigorelli in Milan as the Italian Football League enters its third week of action.

The Rhinos defeated the Bologna Warriors 38-0 on the opening weekend of play but then fell 35-14 to the defending champion Parma Panthers. Ancona lost 20-14 to the Legnano Frogs to open their season but rebounded with a 47-0 blanking of the Warriors.

In the only meeting between these two teams in 2024, the Dolphins came out on top, 30-21.

Rhinos quarterback Marquez McCray (Monmouth University) has looked solid in the opening two games of the season throwing for 489 yards and six touchdowns. He has also rushed for 77 yards. His favorite target was speedy wide receiver Jordan Bouah who hauled in nine passes for 235 yards and four of those touchdowns. Bouah returned to the IFL this season after spending three years in the European League of Football with the Vienna Vikings.

Ancona is led by quarterback Blake Eaton (Linfield University) who has thrown for 487 yards and seven touchdowns. His main target is receiver Tyler Terhark (North Dakota State) who has hauled in nine passes for 191 yards and four scores.

This is a game between two evenly matched teams. The Rhinos will have the homefield advantage though which may well decide the outcome.
