LIVESTREAM IFAF European Qualifier: Team Ireland @ Team Spain, Oct. 22, 18:00 CET (6 pm, 12 noon ET)

Team Spain will play host to the Irish National Team, aka the Irish Wolfhounds, Saturday, October 22 at the Estadio Municipal Rafael Mendoza in Madrid in an IFAF European Championship Group B matchup.

Also in Group B along with Ireland and Spain are Turkey and Israel. The overall group winner will advance to face Germany in 2023. If Ireland defeats Spain and wins the game after that, they will earn the right to face the Team Germany.

This will be Ireland’s first game in these championships, as well as the team’s first game since 2019, when they narrowly defeated the Belgian National Team, 6-0. That was Ireland’s second victory over the Barbarians, having previously bested them the year before.

The last time Spain took the field was in 2019, when they faced Turkey in an IFAF Group B qualifier. In that game, Spain fell behind early but scored two unanswered fourth quarter touchdowns to defeat Turkey 30-25.
