Great Britain and the Czech Republic square off Sunday at Sixways Stadium in Worcester, Great Britain, to decide who advances along with Italy to face either Sweden or Denmark in 2017 to qualify for IFAF Europe Group A status.
The Great Britain Lions disposed of Russia Friday 30-3 while the Czechs overcame a 13-0 deficit to come from behind and beat Holland 20-13.
Great Britain scored early and often against Team Russia, who had no answers for the very disciplined GB Lions squad. Russia had defeated Norway last year to qualify for this round.
The winner of the Great Britain and Czech Republic match will play against either Sweden or Denmark with the winners of those games advancing to the European Championships in 2018 in Germany. They will join defending European champions, Germany, along with Austria, France and Finland.
