The Great Britain Lions head to Sweden Saturday, October 14 to take on Team Sweden in an international friendly.

Sweden is coming off a 37-0 trouncing at the hands of Finland last weekend while this is the first game for the GB Lions since they defeated the Czech Republic in a European championship qualifier in 2016.

Great Britain enters the game with a 60 man roster, up from the 45 on hand for the 2016 game. The London Blitz lead the way with 16 players on the roster, following by the London Warriors with 15 and the newly crowned British champions, the Tamworth Phoenix with eight. The remaining 21 players come from 16 different teams including Germany’s Dresden Monarchs, Finland’s Helsinki Roosters and Jyväskylä Jaguars as well as the La Queue-En-Brie Gladiators from France.

Sweden enters the game with more or less the same roster as in last week’s game against Finland. Ludwig Persson from the STU Northside Bulls and Jonathon Andersson of the Gothenburg Marvels will rotate at quarterback again for Sweden.
