LIVESTREAM Germany: Stuttgart Scorpions @ Munich Cowboys, June 20, 15:00 CET (3 pm, 09:00 am ET)
The Munich Cowboys (1-1) will host the Stuttgart Scorpions (0-2) in todays GFL South matchup. Both teams suffered close losses last week and are eager for redemption as every game counts in the competitive German Football League.
The Cowboys lost last week to the Ravensburg Razorbacks 27-26 in the dying seconds of the game. After scoring to pull within one point, coach Holley and the Cowboys went for two and the win. The gamble didn’t pay off as an incompletion sent Munich home with their first loss of the season. Quarterback Justin Sottilliare has been building a connection with a talented core of receivers through two games. This week look for him to target German talent Kai Silbermann and former Oklahoma University (NCAA D1) receiver Michiah Quick against a struggling Stuttgart secondary.

Defensively safety AJ smith, linebacker Ryan Newell, and defensive end Dominik Siegel give the Cowboys excellent defenders on each level of their defense. Expect for Newell to play a big role today as Stuttgart’s offense has a tendency use the quarterback as a runner often.
The Scorpions made the announcement on Thursday evening that the club and head coach Jeff Scurran are parting ways. Cesare de Pauli of management will take the interim role as head coach. The Scorpions made huge leaps in their second performance as they put up 29 points against Marburg. Quarterback Wyatt Hutchinson used his legs often to move the chains, while veteran running back Giacomo DePauli was a load to tackle. Both Depauli and Hutchinson ran for over 100 yards as the Scorpions offensive line created large holes to run through. Look for Achim Grossman to be heavily involved in the passing game as the athletic receiver has shown the ability to be the Scorpions go to guy.
The Stuttgart defense will have their hands full trying to stop Justin Sottilare and this high-flying Cowboys passing game. Fans can expect defensive back Oliver Chudoba and defensive lineman Herbert Penzholz to be around the ball as they are two key players on this Scorpion defense. Penzholz aims to pressure Sottilare, while Chudoba and fellow defensive backs must show they can tackle against a elusive group of Munich receivers. Some good news for the Scorpions is the return of defensive back Gabriel Kalus. Kalus is a veteran defensive back who has experience playing for both the Scorpions and New Yorker Lions.
Stuttgart looked like a completely different team in their second game playing much better as their offense seemed in sync and their defense flew to the ball. Munich aims to get back to winning after a risky two-point conversion gave them their first loss of the year.
