The Ravensburg Razorbacks (3-4) will visit the Frankfurt Universe (0-5) in this GFL South matchup today.
The Universe will be looking for their first win of the season as they are eager to avoid relegation. Across the field, Ravensburg is determined to bounce back after a tough loss to the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns last week.
The Razorbacks defense is led by linebacker Jeremy Conley. Conley has been one of the league’s top defenders putting up 68 tackles and three sacks in seven games for Ravensburg. On the edge French defensive end, Stanley Zeregbe has proven himself to be a premier pass rusher putting up six sacks on the season, good for third in the league. Today Zeregbe will have to wrap up facing an athletic Frankfurt quarterback.

Offensively the Razorbacks stocky running back Lennies Mcferren is a player to watch today. The veteran of the European game has put up 432 yards and six touchdowns so far this season. Expect starting quarterback Ryan Deal and Danish passer Alexander Kronberg Bjerre to both play, as the Ravensburg offense uses a host of talented skill players. Receivers Ryan Smith and Michael Mayer are sure to see some targets against a struggling Frankfurt secondary.
For Frankfurt, they go into this game following a loss to the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns two weeks ago. Quarterback Glenn Cuiellette has shown the ability to use his legs and his arm to move the sticks. on the outside, receiver Brandon Butler Jr. remains the Universe’s best playmaker. The former US Airmen has put up 258 yards and two touchdowns receiving. Tight end Lucas Lauel could also see some targets today as he provides Cuielette with a big target over the middle.
Frankfurt defensive lineman Jack Brennan’s play will be crucial in this one. If the big man can stuff the run and tackle Ravensburg’s running backs he might give Frankfurt a chance to pull off the upset. Brennan’s play at the line goes well with young linebacker Marius Markert whose 29 tackles lead the team. Look for the young edge defender to be around the ball again today, as he’s also put up two tackles for a loss and an interception this season.
Fans can anticipate a bounce-back game for Ravensburg as they aim to make the postseason in a talented GFL South. On the other sideline, Frankfurt continues to develop its young talent and rebuild its program with a long-term mindset.
