The Munich Cowboys (2-2) travel to Kirchdorf Saturday, June 29 to face the Kirchdorf Wildcats (0-4) in a German Football League matchup that is key for both teams.
The Wildcats are coming off four straight losses after they were beaten 36-10 by the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns to open the season and then turned back 21-14 by the Munich Cowboys. The Berlin Rebels handed them a 33-17 loss and then the New Yorker Lions beat them 24-7. The Cowboys opened the season by beating the Straubing Spiders 31-7 and then downed the Wildcats 21-14. They then dropped two in a row, 33-17 to the Ravensburg Razorbacks and 42-35 to the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns.

For Kirchdorf, quarterback Armani Edden has thrown for a total of 638 yards and three touchdowns in the four games. Today’s game will be a real test.
Munich quarterback Niklas Yockey has thrown for 889 yards and 12 touchdowns in the four games with his favorite targets being Gabriel Boccella who has 21 catches for 270 yards and five touchdowns followed by running back Jack Marton with 10 receptions for 111 yards and tight end Manuel Hutter who has caught nine passes for 107 yards. Marton is the Cowboys leading rusher with 233 yards rushing on 40 carries.
Kirchdorf badly need a win before the season becomes a total loss while Munich needs to keep pace at the top of the GFL South standings.
