The  Kirchdorf Wildcats (0-2) will host the Berlin Rebels (1-1) in the first interconference game for both teams as the German Football League enters its fourth full weekend of play.

This is the first ever meeting between these two teams.

The Wildcats are coming off back to back losses after they were beaten 36-10 by the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns to open the season and then turned back 21-14 by the Munich Cowboys a week ago. The Rebels opened the season with a thrilling come from behind 39-38 win over the Saarland Hurricanes but were brought down to earth by the Hildesheim Invaders who beat them 36-19 last week.

For Kirchdorf, quarterback Armani Edden has thrown for a total of 380 yards and one touchdown in the two games. Today’s game will be a real test.

Rebels quarterback Tyquell Fields has thrown for 489 yards and three touchdowns in the two games but was replaced late in the third quarter by Bronson McClelland after throwing for just 108 yards. McClelland finished the game throwing for 121 yards and two touchdowns in just over a quarter of play.

The visiting Rebels should handle the road pressure today against the newcomers to the GFL this season.
