This Saturday, July 29, the Berlin Adler (3-4) will travel to FC Kilia to face the Kiel Baltic Hurricanes (1-5) for their second matchup of the German Football League season.
This will be the second time in a row these teams are seeing each other as the two teams played on July 8th before the in-season break. In that game, Berlin celebrated a victory in front of their home crowd as they downed the Hurricanes 23-14.
Kiel has had a bit of a rough season. The Hurricanes are coming off of a two-game losing streak since getting their first win of the season against Ravensburg, losing to both the Adler and the Berlin Rebels (31-28).

Led by quarterback Kaleb Scott, the Hurricanes clear offensive strength comes from their rushing attack as they are the fifth ranked team in the GFL averaging 143.2 yards per game. However, Kiel currently ranks dead last in the GFL in passing yards per game with 119.8.
In the most recent loss to the Adler, the Berlin defense was all over Scott and the Hurricane offense. Not only was Kiel held scoreless until the fourth quarter, but the Adler defense was able to force Scott into throwing four interceptions.
On offense, Adler quarterback Zach Cavanaugh was able to get the job done just enough to help secure the nine-point victory. Cavanaugh threw for 232 yards and two scores, while also throwing two interceptions of his own.
A win this week would be crucial for Berlin if they have hopes of making it out as a top-four playoff team in the GFL North. With the first three spots mostly locked up, there will be a three-way fight between the Adler (3-4), the Paderborn Dolphins (3-3) and the Berlin Rebels (4-3) for the final spot.
