LIVESTREAM: Germany – Hamburg Huskies @Kiel Baltic Hurricanes, June 2 4p (10a EST)
The Kiel Baltic Hurricanes (1-4-1) will play host to the visiting 0-5 Hamburg Huskies Saturday, June 2 at Kilia Stadium in Kiel, Germany in a game that is already crucial to both teams in the German Football League.
The Hurricanes are in danger of missing the playoffs for the first time in over a decade while Hamburg has opened the season without a win after finishing the 2017 season with four straight victories.
Kiel has scored a total of 90 points in six games while the Huskies have only managed 20 points in five games and have already replaced one offensive coordinator.
This is the type of game that can produce fireworks with two teams in desperate straits.
For Kiel, newly-signed quarterback Lenorris Footman, in his second game last week against Dresden, threw for 211 yards and rushed for 52 and two touchdowns. The week before he threw one touchdown pass to Jean-Claude Madin Cerezo and also scored on a 62 yard run to pace the Hurricanes and help them salvage a tie with the Cologne Crocodiles. Running back Khris Francis has rushed for 232 yards so far good for ninth in the GFL.
Hamburg quarterback Quentin Williams has thrown for 523 yards in five games and rushed for 35 yards while running back Colby Goodwyn has gained 243 yards rushing and also leads the team in receiving with 131 yards. Young receiver Tobias Nill is second on the team with a total of 126 yards receiving.
