The Villepinte Diables Rouges (2-3) will play host to the winless Saint-Ouen Cougars (0-5) Saturday, March 5 at Stade Laurent Plegelatte as the Northern conference of the French D1 Elite winds up its sixth weekend of play.

The Rouges opened the season, their first in France’s top league, by beating the Cougars 20-6 but then dropped a narrow 10-8 decision to the defending champion Thonon Black Panthers in Week #2. A week later, however, they were overwhelmed by the Asnieres Molosses 33-7. The La Courneuve Flash then handed the Rouges a 16-7 defeat. They picked up their second win in beating the Rouen Leopards 26-9.

The Cougars have lost their five opening games dropping a 20-2 decision to the Diables Rouges and then losing 24-21 to the Rouen Leopards. They were then pounded 56-0 by the Thonon Black Panthers before being shut out 30-0 by the Asnieres Molosses. Last weekend, they are embarrassed 51-0 by the Flash.

This game will be tough one for the Cougars. They have scored a mere 23 points in five games while surrendering 181!. Expect the Diables Rouges to get win #3.
