The Saint-Ouen Cougars (0-1) will play host to the Rouen Leopards (0-1) Sunday, February 2 as the French D1 Elite league winds up its second full weekend of play.

The Cougars are coming off a 20-2 loss to the newly-promoted Villepinte Diables Rouges while Rouen lost 33-6 to the Asnieres Molosses.

The two teams met twice in 2024 with the Leopards winning both times, 21-12 and 45-0.

Rouen reached the semifinal round in 2024 after finishing the regular season with a 6-3-1 record. They were eliminated by the La Courneuve Flash. The Cougars wound up with a 3-7 record in 2024 with two of those wins forfeits by the Tours Pionniers. However, the third win was a 14-13 victory over the Flash.

Leopards quarterback Noah Carreau threw an 80 yard touchdown pass to Arthur Tunetier for his team’s only touchdown. Veteran British signal caller Ashley Bailey will again be behind center for Saint-Ouen.
