LIVESTREAM France: La Courneuve Flash @Tours Pionniers, March 11, 19:00 CET (7 pm, 11 am ET)

The defending French champions, La Courneuve Flash (3-0), hit the road this weekend taking the two and a half hour drive south to Tours to face the 2-1 Tours Pionniers.

In the early going the defending champion Flash are again looking like one of France’s top teams this season. Across the field, the Pionniers hope to pull off the home upset and stake their own claim as contenders

The home team Tours Pionniers opened the season by beating the Amiens Spartiates 28-24 but went down to defeat against the Thonon Black Panthers 49-7. However, they rebounded with a 27-13 defeat of the Saint-Ouen Cougars. 

The undefeated Flash who beat the Molosses 26-14, the Cougars 47-6 and the hapless Amiens Spartiates 64-0 will face a Tours team looking to make their mark. Look for the Flash’s young French quarterback Leo Cremes to continue to throw the ball well and target Ben Von Jagow. Cremades has been impressive including a six touchdown performance against the Cougars, which earned him league player of the week.

On defense, the Flash have a ton of talent including versatile homegrown talent Wadjihi Said and American pass rusher Zachary Curry.

Pionniers quarterback Tanner DeJong has looked poised so far and in last week’s win over the Cougars he threw three touchdown passes with his main target being Theo Mbemba. Running back Ulysse Le Bihan is also dangerous, and the former Division 2 club could pose problems for the visitors.
