The Grizzlys Catalans (0-0-1) travel south to Nice to face the Nice Dauphins (0-1) as the French D1 Elite league heads into its second weekend of action.

The Catalans opened the season by playing conference champions, the Marseilles Blue Stars to a 14-14 tie last weekend. Meanwhile, Nice were beaten 41-14 by the Cannes Iron Mask.

The Grizzlys won both games between the two teams in 2024 beating Nice 21-19 and 13-0.

Former Case Western Reserve University (NCAA Div. III) quarterback Alexander Fromberg will again be behind center for the Grizzlys. He threw for a league-best 229 yards and one touchdown in last week’s tie against the Blue Stars. Meanwhile his counterpart with the Dauphins, Kiani Freeman, threw for just 98 yards and a score in his opening game.
