The Aix-en-Provence Argonautes (0-2) head to Grenoble, France Saturday, February 23 looking for their first win of the season when they face the 1-1 Grenoble Centaures.
Grenoble opened the season with a sound 35-6 pounding of the Bron-Villeurbanne Falcons but were brought down to earth by the newly promoted Montpellier Hurricanes two weeks ago, losing 46-25.
Quarterback Sonny Weishaupt has had a solid start to the season completing 32 of 54 passes for 388 yards and five touchdowns against only one interception. His favorite target is wide receiver Florian Larose who has 13 catches for 157 yards and four touchdowns. Running back Manu Andre leads all rushers for the Centaures and has rushed for 177 yards and three touchdowns in the two games on 33 carries.
New Argonautes head coach Richard Bonds is struggling to get his offense in gear. Aix-en-Provence has yet to score a point this year. They lost to the Marseille Blue Stars in their opening game 24-0 and then were pummeled by the Thonon Black Panthers last week 51-0.
