The Nice Dauphins (0-1) will play host to the Aix Argonautes (0-1) as the South Conference of the French D1 Elite league enters its second weekend of action.

The Dauphins defeated the Argonautes in both games between the two teams in 2024, 35-14 and 18-0.

Nice opened the season losing 41-14 to the Cannes Iron Mask while the Argonautes were beaten 34-27 by the Toulouse Ours.

In the opening day loss, Dauphins quarterback Kiani Freeman threw for just 98 yards and one touchdown completing 10 of 29 passes.

For the Argonautes, quarterback Jason Gaines completed 16 of 36 passes for 212 yards and a score. Wide receiver Dominique Thompson caught seven of those passes for 100 yards with teammate Alexandre Agnimel also catching seven, but for 84 yards.

Although these two teams seem evenly matched, the edge goes to Nice playing at home.
