The Seinäjoki Crocodiles (5-2) host the UNC Crusaders (1-7) in this Friday night Finnish Maple League matchup. These two teams met two weeks ago in Lohja with the Crocodiles winning 54-0.

The Crocodiles running back Christian Powell has been carrying the Crocodiles this season and currently has them as the league’s second seed with only five weeks remaining. Powell and Quarterback Anthony Whitehead will continue to create big plays in this offense with the help of Finnish talents such as Joel Sarkela and Anttoni Lampivuo.

Former “Last Chance U” star and University of Tennessee (NCAA DI) defensive lineman Emmit Gooden has been a key part of the Crocodiles’ defensive performance. The former junior college All-American along with Arthur Pinheiro and Fillip Zacok make for a fierce defensive line. Expect these three to have big games today against a lackluster Crusaders line. 

The Crusaders have had a tough season to this point. However they do have the ability to change the game with speedy receivers like Cedric Johnson, along with  Miles and Nolan Corpening.  Both Corpening brothers have stepped in and made big plays on offense, defense, and special teams this season making big plays.
