LIVESTREAM Finland: Helsinki Roosters @ Wasa Royals, Aug. 22, 17:30 CET (5:30 pm, 11:30 am EDT)

In the final weekend of play in Finland Maple League, the Helsinki Roosters (10-1) will visit the Wasa Royals (3-8).

The Roosters will finish the season as the number one seed going into the playoffs while Wasa is playing for next season having finished fifth and been eliminated from playoff contention earlier in the season.

These two teams faced each other in the opening game of the season with Helsinki coming away with a 28-12 victory.

In that game, Roosters quarterback Ambro Urjansson was almost perfect completing 19 of 20 passes for 317 yards and three touchdowns.

The situation for today’s game is much different. The Royals lineup has changed considerably due to injuries and other changes. The Roosters will be resting a few starters including Urjansson. Jerry Silomaa will step in as the starting quarterback for the first time this year.

For the Royals, Elias Haapamäki will be starting his third game after replacing Theodore Landers who had played the previous eight games.

Alpha Jalloh vs Bryce Nunnelly

The game will feature the top two touchdown scoring receivers in the Maple League in the Royals’ Alpha Jalloh and Helsinki’s Bryce Nunnnelly. They have both caught 15 touchdown passes.

This game will have no bearing on the standings. The Royals will no doubt like to finish the season on a high note in front of their home fans while Helsinki would definitely like to end with a win going into the playoffs.
