The Porvoo Butchers host the Kotka Eagles in this Friday night Finnish football action. The Butchers hope to get a win against a young Kotka team and help their playoff standings. Across the field, the Eagles hope to shock the league and earn their first win of the season.
The Porvoo Butchers (2-2) come into this week feeling confident that they can make the post-season. Quarterback Brandon Gwinner has been playing well. The dual-threat passer has been able to move the ball well down the field finding receiver Mikko Seppanen often. If Gwinner has time in the pocket today, he may be able to keep the Butchers in the game against an inexperienced Kotka team.

Defensively, veteran Timi Nuikka and the rest of the Butchers will have their hands full against an inefficient Eagles offense. If the Butcher’s defensive line can create some havoc, they could have the defending champions sweating on the road.
Kotka suffered an embarrassing loss their last time out, losing 67-0 to the Seinäjoki Crocodiles. The Eagles’ offense sputtered while their defense was humiliated by the opponents’ skilled playmakers. Offensively, the Eagles mustered only 74 yards mostly on the ground from speedy running back Yusuf Lehtinen.
