Serbia’s junior national team will play host to Team Italy today in a single-game qualifier to advance to the IFAF Paris European Junior Championships to be held in Paris, France, July 14-16. The game will be held at FK BASK Stadium in Belgrade, Serbia.
Team Serbia head coach Kosta Stojakovic has assembled a 45 man roster while his counterpart for Italy, Paolo Borchini, has had his team of 46 players in Padua, Italy all week in preparation for this game.
Originally this was a four team group but both Russia and Hungary pulled out. The other qualifying group – Holland, Switzerland, Germany & Spain – will play in the Netherlands June 2-4 to determine who will advance to Paris to meet the reigning champion Austria and host country France.
Team Serbia last played in 2016 in the Balkan Bowl where they downed Slovenia.
