The Prague Black Panthers visit Wroclaw, Poland to face the Wroclaw Panthers in Central European Football League, CEFL ,West division play May 12.
Wroclaw lost to the Swarco Raiders from Austria two weeks ago 63-21 while the Black Panthers dropped a 44-21 decision to Swarco a month ago.
The Panthers lead Poland’s LFA with a 5-0 record averaging almost 47 points a game while giving up 44 in five games.
Prague is also unbeaten in its own league and has scored 189 points in four games while allowing a mere six points total.
Although this game will have no bearing on the CEFL standings as Swarco will advance to the championship game, there is plenty at stake.
Nick Johansen, head coach of the Wroclaw Panthers, back-to-back Polish champions, faced Prague head coach Daniel Levy two years ago when Levy was head coach of the Warsaw Eagles in Poland. Wroclaw defeated Warsaw both during the regular season and in the semifinals that year. Levy, who won the Brazilian national championship in 2017 has head coach of the Belo Horizonte Sada Cruzeiro, would like nothing more than to gain some revenge in this friendly rivalry.
