The Bristol Aztecs who play in Great Britain’s Premiership will travel to Amsterdam, Saturday to take on the Amsterdam Crusaders who are undefeated in the BNL league.
This is the first ever game between the two as the Aztecs venture out onto the continent for the first time.
Amsterdam tops the BNL league with a 4-0 record having scored an average of over 37 points a game while allowing just 4.2. The Crusaders rely on quarterback Jasper Nijland who also guided them to the final last year. Look for Amsterdam to use running back Sydney Kunst who joined the Crusaders this season.
For Bristol, head coach Pete Jones has turned the team into contenders for the BAFA title since taking over in 2022. Led by running back Karekin Brooks, the former UPenn standout, and speedy receiver Manny Chrispin, the Aztecs could well put Amsterdam to the test today. The Aztecs have reached the semifinals in Great Britain for the past two years under Jones.
