The Amsterdam Crusaders (6-2) will be looking to punch their ticket to the BNL Championship Game when they play host to the Brussels Black Angels (5-3) in the Semifinal Game, Saturday, June 22.

These two teams faced each other twice during the regular season splitting the series. Amsterdam won the first game, blanking the Black Angels 35-0 while Brussels won the second, beating the Crusaders 13-7.

The winner of today’s game advances to the BNL Championship Game where they will face the Rotterdam Trojans.

The Crusaders suffered their first loss of the season when Rotterdam beat them 23-21. They had cruised through the first four games of the season beating the Black Angels 35-0, the Trojans 46-0, the Brussels Tigers 28-0 and Kasteel Nitros 64-0. Following the loss to the rejuvenated Trojans squad, they were beaten by the Black Angels before whipping the Nitros 68-6 and Tigers 48-6.

The Black Angels lost 35-0 to Amsterdam but then defeated the Brussels Tigers twice 42-0 and 35-0 and the Nitros 39-7 and 48-7. They lost a close one to the rejuvenated Trojans 24-20 but then reeled off three wins in a row downing the Tigers 35-0 and Nitros 48-7 before getting by Amsterdam. That’s when they were tripped up by Rotterdam 27-21 in the final game of the regular season for them.
