The Limburg Shotguns (1-3) hit the road to take on the Brussels Tigers (1-3) in a crucial battle for both teams to qualify for the fourth and final playoff spot in the BNL league.

With this weekend’s action marking the midpoint of the season, this game will have a major impact on the standings.

Limburg dropped the first game of the year when the Rotterdam Trojans pummeled them 41-7. They rebounded with a 48-6 pounding of the Kasteel Nitros and then were edged by the league-leading Amsterdam Crusaders 35-30. In their last outing, they dropped a triple overtime heartbreaker to the Brussels Black Angels. The Tigers have lost three straight after dispatching the Kasteel Nitros 20-6 to open the season. They were then blanked 42-0 by the Brussels Black Angels, 35-0 by the Rotterdam Trojans and 28-0 by the Crusaders.

The Tigers will be in tough in this contest as the Shotguns offense seems to have come alive behind the play of quarterback John Brown and receiver/returner former SMU Husky Justin Julien.
