The Limburg Shotguns play host to the Brussels Black Angels Saturday, May 14 at Mijnstadion Beringen in a Belgian non-conference game.
The Shotguns play in the BNL league, which includes Dutch teams, while Brussels competes in the Flemish American Football League. Limburg has a 4-1 record in the BNL while the Black Angels are 3-0 in the FAFL so far. Both offenses have plenty of firepower.
The last time these two teams faced each other was in September of 2021 with Limburg coming out on top 27-6.
Limburg running back Jaycen Taylor is the key to the offense along with quarterback Bram Baeté. Key receivers for the Shotguns include Quinten Agten, Mathieu de Hoffmann and Jay Koltzem while running backs Javin Brontley-Helsel and Sem Verhaegen, who both scored touchdowns in the 45-0 blanking of the Hilversum Hurricanes a week ago, give Limburg additional firepower.
Defensively, linebacker Nick Vanhee is a key along with the Dutch duo of Nick Meijers and Mathew Bodden, both with backgrounds in the German Football League.
Brussels relies on wide receivers Thomas Bouron and Jonathan Leroy while the defense is anchored by linebacker Dylan Pierquin and defensive back Hadrien Godichal.
