The unbeaten Swarco Raiders (4-0) will travel to Graz to face the rejuvenated Projekt Spielberg Graz Giants (2-2) Saturday, May 4 at Stadion Eggenberg in Austrian Football League mid season action.

The two teams met only once in 2018 with the Raiders winning 41-14.

Graz have won two in a row including a 36-14 win over the Dacia Vienna Vikings. They had beaten the Prague Black Panthers 35-14 after losing their opening two games in the AFL to the Danube Dragons (12-10) and Mödling Rangers, 45-39.

Giants quarterback Jake Kennedy has been solid, throwing for 981 yards and 12 TDs in four games and is second overall in passing.. WR Philipp Sommer leads the team in receiving with 292 yards and 3 TDs on 21 receptions. Alexander Sans is the Giants leading rusher with 224 yards on 46 carries.

The Raiders have looked like they are in championship form so far in the Austrian Football League season. They opened the year with four wins, including a 48-28 victory over arch rivals, the Dacia Vienna Vikings and the latest a 34-14 win over the previously unbeaten Danube Dragons. Quarterback Sean Shelton has thrown for 801 yards and 12 TDs while rushing for another 138 yards and 3 TDs.. He has a lot of weapons at his disposal including Sandro Platzgummer who has rushed for 227 yards. Shelton’s top receiver is Patrick Donahue who has 296 yards in receptions and 3 TDs. Two weeks ago, Swarco disposed of France’s Thonon Black Panthers, beating them 41-7 in Central European Football League action.
