The Prague Black Panthers (3-3) will hit the road Sunday, May 19 to face the Danube Dragons (3-2) in a key Austrian Football League matchup.

This will be the second time these teams have squared off in 2024. In their last meeting in Prague, the Dragons escaped with a 17-14 victory in front of the Black Panther home crowd.

In the last meeting between the two, it didn’t seem like one team had a true advantage over the other. In the low scoring affair, both teams would have just over 300 total yards of offense. Each team’s quarterbacks, Danube’s Alexander Thury and Prague’s Tyler Jarnagin threw an interception.

For the Black Panthers, their offense is led through Jarnagin. The Prague signal caller currently sits fourth in the AFL for both passing yards (835) and passing touchdowns (12) off of his 140 total attempts on the year.

For Danube, Thury may not be high up on the leaderboard, but this is because he has only played five games. With his 121 pass attempts, Alexander is sixth in the AFL with his 708 passing yards. He also had 6 passing scores on the year.

Through their four quarters of defensive minded football, neither offense seemed to be able to get into a rhythm as there were a total of nine punts in the whole game. Will we see another defensive battle this Sunday or will the offenses put on a show in front of the Danube home crowd?
