The 1-0 Dacia Vienna Vikings and the defending champion Swarco Raiders (1-0) square off Saturday, March 30 in a rematch of the 2018 Austrian Bowl final at Tivoli Stadium in Innsbruck, Austria, in the second weekend of play in the Austrian Football League.

The Raiders defeated Vienna 51-48 in the 2018 final, with Thomas Pichlmann kicking the game-winning field goal with three seconds left giving Swarco its fifth Austrian title ever and third since 2015.

The two teams met twice during the regular season last year splitting the series. Dacia Vienna won the first matchup, downing the Raiders 35-28 but then took revenge by whipping their arch rivals 55-13 later in the season.

Last week, the Raiders easily disposed of the Amstetten Thunder 48-7 while Vienna defeated the Prague Black Panthers 28-7.

Swarco quarterback Sean Shelton had an easy day only throwing for 162 yards and two touchdowns and rushing for 28 yards and another touchdown while backup Ruben Seeber completed nine of 12 passes for 51 yards. Running back Sandro Platzgummer rushed four times for 44 yards and two touchdowns.

For the Vikings, Austin Herink looked comfortable in his debut game completing 15 of 23 passes for 227 yards and three touchdowns while running back Marko Gagic rushed for 30 yards and a touchdown.

This is the marquee matchup of the week in Austria, and in Europe this week. The last time the Raiders lost to Vienna at home in Innsbruck was in 2013.
