This Saturday, September 19 the Sports Complex of PUCRS in Porto Alegre will host two games of the Liga Nacional (National League in English).
At 1 PM ET, Porto Alegre Pumpkins and Santa Maria Soldiers take the field in the derby of Rio Grande do Sul. Soon after, at 4:30 PM ET, the Porto Alegre Bulls play against the Joinville Gladiators. Both matches are valid for Week 5 of the Liga Nacional – the second division of Confederação Brasileira de Futebol Americano.
The Pumpkins (0-1) coming off a loss in the opening game against the Joinville Gladiators (1-0) in Joinville, by 29-16. As for the Bulls (0-1) lost to rival gaúcho Soldiers (1-0) by 25-7, in Santa Maria.
