Preview: Parana HP vs Flamengo
Coach Otavio Roichman and Flamengo FA return to the Torneio Touchdown playoffs after a soul-shattering last second loss in the 2013 national championship game. (see last second catch below)

They square off against Coach Shailan Patel`s battle-tested Parana HP squad, who emerged with one of the playoff spots from a brutally difficult Southern Conference of the TTD.
These two teams have never faced off against one another.
Offensively, Flamengo boasts two of Brasil`s top quarterbacks in Brazilian National Team starter, Ramon Matire, and Dartmouth grad and two-time Torneio Touchdown National Champion, Casey Frost.
Whichever of the two athletes end up taking snaps, they will be well-protected by a Flamengo offensive line anchored down by center, Marcos Martiny and veteran tackle, Anselmo Bauer, and they will have some talented targets to throw to, in Flamengo receivers Rodrigo Pons and Guilherme Piccoli, and tight end, Felipe Leira.
The HP defense is stout, led up front by First-Team All League selections, defensive tackle, Reinaldo Gotinha and linebacker Rodrigo Zandona. The Brothers Kvas, Cleverson and Anderson, hold down the defensive secondary.
The HP offense is led by workhorse running back, Keke Gant. Gant and the HP offensive line will be a huge test for a Flamengo linebacking corps that has been devastated by injuries for most of the season, but received a huge boost recently in the form of the return of veteran linebacker and emotional leader, Ival Mazeiro.
HP quarterback, Maycon Rodrigues will face a relentless pass rush off the edge from Flamengo end/linebacker Edilson Azevedo, and Flamengo can make life hard on opposing receivers, with arguably the best starting cornerback combination in South America, in Bruno Rosa and Felipe Sodre, but he will have the big, athletic tight end/wide receiver, Cesar Dantas to get the football to.
