LIVE STREAM: Italy’s Ancona Dolphins Debut at Home Against Firenze Guelfi
After blanking the Roma Grizzlies 31-0 in their opening game last weekend, the Ancona Dolphins are getting set to face the Florence Griffins (Firenze Guelfi) Saturday in Ancona.
Dolphins head coach Roberto Rotelli was happy with the Dolphins opening game victory. However he is wary of Florence, newcomers to the top division this year.
“We will have to be focused, alert and aggressive from start to finish. I trust in the support of our home fans who will be noisy.”
Quarterback Ryan Kasdorf had an outstanding game against the Grizzlies, throwing for three touchdowns and scoring one himself.
For Florence, quarterback Danny Dobson, will have his work cut out for him. The Griffins suffered a tough 21-17 loss to the Ferrara Aguila and will be looking to atone for that. But the Dolphins defense led by linebacker Jacob Zilbar is in fine form early in the season.
The Guelfi defense is led linebacker Ross Stowers and defensive backs Kyle Griffin and Arturo Morara who transferred from the Bologna Warriors and is much improved for the 2016 season.
The Dophins defense forced four turnovers again Roma and look to continue that trend against the newest team in the league.
