Lausanne hosts federations from around the world at IFAF Congress
The 26th annual International Federation of American Football (IFAF) Congress will welcome delegates from member federations around the world to Lausanne, Switzerland this week.
The IFAF delegates will hold a series of meetings on Friday, September 6, at the Maison du Sport International then on Saturday, September 7, the IFAF Congress will be take place at the Musée Olympique Auditorium.
The City of Lausanne will host the Official Opening Cocktail Party at the Plateforme 10 Museum of Contemporary Design and Applied Arts, which will include a private showing of the Photo Elysee Collection.
The agenda for IFAF’s Lausanne Congress will feature reflections on the IFAF U20 World Junior Football Championship in Edmonton, Canada, as well as a the IFAF Flag Football World Championships in Lahti, Finland, when a record number of teams and athletes from around the world participated in August.
Delegates representing the global American football family will also look ahead to the 2025 Continental Flag Football Championships and The World Games in Chengdu, China.
As members of the extended IFAF Board, leading figures from the NFL will again join the IFAF Congress, reaffirming the ongoing collaborative efforts between IFAF and NFL to develop the sport globally and as preparations for flag football’s Olympic debut at LA28 move forward.
