American Football International has teamed up with Krown Countdown U and Canada’s CBC Sports to bring complete coverage of the Canadian college football scene.
Every week, Krown Countdown U follows the Canadian college football season on CBC Sports, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s sports station.
The show recaps mainly college football games, features, news and analysis of the week’s upcoming games with additional content focusing on Canadian content in NCAA football, Football Canada national teams, and the Canadian Junior Football League.
This week on Krown Countdown U, Jim Mullin, Gord Randall and Mike Hogan look at five Canadians have an impact in US college football, Justin Mcinnis, a wide receiver at Arkansas State from Pierrefonds, Quebec had six catches for 86 yards and a touchdown in a win over Georgia State. Winnipeg natives, Mason Bennett and Brady Oliveira were key in a big win. Quarterback Nathan Rourke from Oakville, Ontario and running back Maleek Irons from Chilliwack, British Columbia helped the Ohio University Bobcats to another key victory. Finally, cornerback Patrice Rene from Ottawa, Ontario playing for North Carolina had four tackles, an interception and a fumble recovery. Former Vienna Viking Shawn Olson highlights a pair of players in X’s and Olson and the crew highlights the rest of the week’s play in the Canadian college conferences. Finally, the show visits with Football North and defensive coordinator Nick Richards as they prepare for a road game.
