The Saturday afternoon showdown lived up to its billing as a league classic, featuring momentum swings and a heart-stopping finale.

First Half: A game of momentum swings
The Kings struck first in the opening quarter, with quarterback Louie Barrios connecting with Krzysztof Karp on a 36-yard pass, setting up a 4-yard touchdown run. The second quarter saw relentless back-and-forth action. Bartosz Woch powered through the Panthers’ defense for a 9-yard TD run, putting the Kings ahead 12-7. Wrocław’s Kacper Chorążewski then hauled in a 20-yard pass from Cartwright to reclaim the lead at 13-12. Kraków retaliated with Jan Szwej scoring a 9-yard rushing TD, complemented by a daring 2-point conversion pass to Tomasz Skowroński, stretching their lead to 20-13. Chorążewski struck again for the Panthers with a 15-yard TD catch, followed by a 1-point conversion to tie the game at 20-20. Barrios and Woch combined once more before halftime, this time for a 4-yard TD after a 36-yard aerial play, giving the Kings a 27-20 edge.

Second Half: Defense reigns, then drama unfolds
A scoreless third quarter highlighted defensive resilience, setting the stage for fourth-quarter fireworks. Chorążewski completed his hat-trick with a 12-yard TD catch, leveling the score at 27-27. The Kings responded immediately, as Woch bulldozed through for a 6-yard TD, followed by a 1-point conversion to make it 34-27.

With 34-33 on the board after Budziński’s 34-yard TD catch for the Panthers, the game hinged on a critical one-point conversion attempt. Kings’ defender Patryk Jakubiec rose to the occasion, blocking the kick to preserve Kraków’s slender lead. The Panthers’ onside kick recovery gave them a final chance, advancing to the Kings’ half. However, a costly delay-of-game penalty forced Wrocław to abandon a potential game-winning field goal. Their desperation pass attempt was thwarted by a sack and interception, sealing the Kings’ victory.
