Jordanian American Football launches football camp
In its continued drive to promote American Football in Jordan, the Jordanian Company for American Football Training (JAFL) has partnered with the Hundred Yard Sports Academy to launch the largest American Football Training camp in the history of Jordan.
Three American football stars have recently arrived in Jordan to launch a two-day training camp aimed at promoting the game to the local market, as well as promoting the latest in health and safety strategies. The three stars are Sorie Bayoh, Talib Wise, and Jerry Lovelocke.
Husam Yaseen, GM of JAFL expressed his excitement at the camp and said
“Today marks the beginning of a new phase of American Football in Jordan. The JAFL has been operating for over 2 years and has received a lot of positive feedback from the international football community and we look forward to the success of the camp”
Saliba Amash, GM of Hundred Yard Sports Academy:
“Our academy is dedicated to ensuring that JAFL continues its amazing progress in Jordan, and flourishes in this international environment of sports and teamwork. This year will prove to be a pivotal year in the success of American football in Jordan.”
Aysar Batayneh, Chairman of Hundred Yard Sports Academy reiterated his personal support to the game of American football and his passion for promoting the game to the younger generations in the Kingdom.:
“One of the fundamental founding principles of our academy is promoting American football in a safe and responsible manner to the under 16s of Jordan. It’s our vision to have a league large enough to compete internationally.”
The JAFL will launch its third season of American football later this year, and will expand the league from its current form of three teams to five teams composed of different nationalities and age groups.
