Japan: QB Aaron Ellis leads Dentsu Caterpillars into action against the Shinagawa CC Bullseyes

The Dentsu Caterpillars (3-1) return to action Monday, November 4 when they face the Shinagawa CC Bullseyes (3-1) at Fujitsu Stadium Kawasaki.

The two teams are tied with identical records in the X-League Area East Division, but Dentsu has the advantage thanks to an overwhelming 62-3 win over the Bullseyes earlier in the season. In that game, quarterback Aaron Ellis threw for 272 yards and six touchdowns.

Since that game, the Caterpillars offense has tailed off but is expected to return to form in this game. Ellis has thrown for 753 yards and 10 touchdowns in the four games. One of Ellis’ favorite targets is fellow University of St.Francis alum and teammate Ravon Johnson who has 12 catches for 243 yards and three scores in the three games he has played in.

For Shinagawa, running back Yuito Ikeda is the key. He has rushed for 291 yards and two touchdowns in four contests. The quarterback duo of Xun Ishii and Nagise Kawashima have thrown for a total of only 268 yards and one touchdown so do not expect an aerial battle.

This is crucial game for Dentsu with promotion to the X League Super on the line.
