Dentsu Caterpillars quarterback Aaron Ellis threw a league-high six touchdown passes in his team’s 62-3 rout of the Shinagawa CC Bulleyes in X1 Area’s Eastern Division action this past weekend.
Ellis, in his third year with Dentsu, completed 17 of 22 passes for 272 yards with Ravon Johnson catching three of the six scoring passes, Kento Minami hauling in two and Satoshi Onuki and Masaki Kawanami catching one each.
Johnson caught six passes for 146 yards while Minami had four for 59 yards and also scored his first ever punt return touchdown.
The Caterpillars jumped out to a 44-0 halftime lead and then cruised to the win.
Ellis is happy with performance and can see his team’s improvement:
“I feel we are better team than we were in 2022 and 2023. I have played with these guys for three years now so we are really clicking. Our focus needs to be on winning our conference and winning promotion.”
With the win, the Caterpillars top the X1 Area Eastern Division standings with a 2-0 record.
