Italy: Lazio Ducks still demonstrate offensive power after Week 2

After Week 2 in Italy’s Div. I, the top league in Italy, the Lazio Ducks continue to prove their offensive firepower.

The Ducks whose players lead two categories, and Firenze Guelfi share top spot on the list with three players each among the top five in the three key offensive categories. After them are the Bolzano Giants, Milano Seamen and Ancona Dolphins who have two apiece while the Parma Panthers, Bergamo Lions and Bologna Warriors have one each.

Passing

Lazio Ducks QB Tyler Johnson continues to top the passing stats after throwing for 196 yards and 6 TDs in the Ducks second round win over the Ancona Dolphins. Bolzano Giants QB Austin Gahafer is now second with 464 yards and 7 TDs. Luke Zahradka of the Milano Seamen has moved up into 3rd with 432 yards and 9 TDs while Nelson Hughes of the Dolphins has slipped down into 4th after throwing for a mere 66 yards. Firenze Guelfi QB Lynx Hawthorne had a solid outing in his team’s victory of the Parma Panthers and enters the list in 5th with 245 yards and 2 TDs.

Rushing

Ducks RB Mike Gentili continues to lead all rushers after two weeks with another 100+ rushing day and now has 208 yards rushing. Alessandro Malpeli Aval of the Parma Panthers also rushed for over 100 yards and now has 199 while Bergamo’s Alexander Germany stays in 3rd with 153 and 1 TD. Ervis Cira of the Warriors is 4th with his 115 yards while Guelfi QB Lynx Hawthorne has climbed up onto the list with 79 yards.

Receiving

Bolzano Giants WR Mark Simone has a monster day in Bolzano’s 28-24 win over the Bergamo Lions with 172 yards receiving and now leads all receivers with 231 yards and 4 TDs. Stefano Di Tunisi of the Milano Seamen hauled in 4 catches for 147 yards and 2 TDs in Milano’s 40-6 win over the Warriors and now is in 2nd with 172 yards.  Ancona Dolphins WR Dylan Albertson is now in 3rd with 144 yards and 3 TDs while Silas Nacita has climbed up into 4th after one game with 121 yards. Finally  Tommaso Pozzebon is 5th with 118 yards.
