The Italian Football League wound up its regular season this past weekend with a new passing yardage leader in Italy as Dustin Hawke Willingham of the Bolzano Giants overtook the Firenzi Guelfi’s Eddie Printz in the final game of the year.
Passing
Bolzano Giants QB Dustin Hawke Willingham finally took the lead in passing yardage and TDs on the final weekend of play in the Italian Football League with a 150 yards passing day against Pesaro. He finished with 2,336 yards passing and 26 TDs. Firenze Guelfi quarterback Eddie Printz was not far behind though with 2,329 yards and 20 TDs. Printz had led the league in passing the entire year. The Milano Seamen’s Luke Zahradka finished third with 2,154 yards. . His Seamen have the second leading offense in Italy with 347 points. Ancona’s Ryan Kasdorf ends in fourth with his 1,797 yards and Tommaso Monardi from the Parma Panthers has made strong gains and ended fifth with 1,770 yards.
Firenze Guelfi wide receiver Michael Vanucci finished as the top receiver in Italy despite missing the last two games with 882 yards in receiving ahead of Mark Simone of Bolzano who finished second with his 789 yards. UTA’s Mattee Spada wound up third with 661 yards receiving while Marco Bonacci of the Giants is fourth with 624 yards. Finally, the Rhinos Tommaso Finadri stayed fifth with 600 yards.
Rushing
Milano Rhinos quarterback TJ Pryor has truly been versatile for the Rhinos on their run for a 2nd straight Italian title. He finished the season with a league-leading 740 yards and 13 TDs. Torino Giaguari’s running back Louis Cotrone who missed the last half of the season, still finished 2nd with his 608 yards. Caleb Watkins was the only bright spot for the winless Roma Grizzlies and ended the year as the 3rd leading rusher in Italy with 597 yards. Bergamo Lions quarterback Giorgio Bryant wound up 4th in rushing with 537 yards. Another Rhino, Elvis Cira, ended the year as the 5th leading rusher with 509 yards.
