As for the highest level, “the 14 Greats,” the most anticipated game of the weekend featured the Tigres UANL against the Águilas Blancas IPN. This thrilling encounter went into overtime after regulation time ended in a 10-10 tie. With just three minutes left in the game, the Águilas Blancas managed to nervously tie the score, thus forcing an overtime where the outcome of the game would be decided. However, the most surprising result of the week occurred in the second classic of the year, where the Pumas UNAM CU were defeated by the IPN. The Other Pumas from the Acatlan campus, Pumas and Lynxes, combined to score more than 100 points in the game, with a great offensive display from both teams. In the end, the result favored Pumas 60-43 over Linces UVM.
