Details as to what the money is owed for are not known at this time.
In response to this, German Football League chairman Carsten Dalkowski was adamant that the transfer was legitimate:
“All payments from IFAF to Germany and vice versa were justified and rightful. It is common business to discuss such issues internally with the parties involved and we are and were eagerly trying to enter into talks with the current IFAF leadership – but unfortunately to no avail up to now.”
MacLean states that they discovered the money was missing after only receiving the bank statements a month ago but only determined why it was missing a week ago. Letters from IFAF lawyers to lawyers representing the other parties in this issue have gone unanswered.
When asked about the matter Tommy Wiking had no comment.
