The Growth of a Game will be hosting one of the premier American football camps in Europe from September 16th-17th, 2017 in Bergamo, Italy.
The camp, known as “The Growth of a Game Bergamo Skills Camp“, enters its 2nd year with the intent to improve the skill level of players from around the region. Players and coaches from all across Europe will visit Bergamo for the camp, and upwards of 100 players are expected to be in attendance.
In alignment with its primary mission, The Growth of a Game organizes a series of annual developmental camps across Europe in an effort to facilitate the development of American football.
The Growth of a Game Bergamo Skills Camp will be led by several of the top coaches in Europe, including Gianluca Ventura, offensive coordinator for the Bergamo Lions in Italy; Simone Orsi, defensive line coach for the Italian National Team; Matteo Dinelli, head coach of the West Coast Raiders in Italy; Filippo Paciaroni, defensive backs coach for the Firenze Guelfi in Italy; Spencer Wood, offensive coordinator for the Munich Cowboys in Germany; Sebastian Serrano, head coach for the Portuguese National Team; and Hugo Pointillart, offensive line coach for the Hämeenlinna Huskies in Finland.
The camp will focus on skill development for all players 15 and over. Players of all positions are welcome. In addition to player development, the coaching staff will also be providing instruction to beginner and intermediate coaches in the form of on-field work, film study, and a private coaching clinic. Players and coaches from as many as 10 countries will be present.
Player fees for the 2-day camp are €99, while coaches fees are €79.
Camp t-shirts will be included in the sign-up cost for players and will be provided during registration. Players will wear t-shirts, shorts, and football cleats – no shoulder pads or helmets.
